Here’s another versatile melodic riff in the key of A minor.  It opens with a quick run
up a short arpeggio (Chord tones played sequentially) and ends with a nice legato
slide up and back before resolving to the 5th (E) of  our I chord, Am.  Notice from
the audio clip that the timing maintains a nice flow while changing the speeds of
movement rather dramatically.  This creates a melodic flow without sounding
mechanical.  Note: to create the legato effect on the slide, be sure to pick only the G
note found on the B string (8th fret) and slide up to the A (10th fret) and back to the
