We are developing a program for you, the private music teacher, which will allow a third
party (us) to conduct periodic teacher reviews for your students. This is the same type of
program that schools use to gain feedback on their teachers. While schools use it as a tool to
ensure that teachers are performing at expected levels, you can use it to expand your own
abilities as a teacher. Having a third party such as us provide the review allows your
students to offer their input and constructive criticism without creating any uncomfortable
vibe between teacher and student.
The reviews will consist of a questionaire designed to target specific aspects of teaching that
will provide you with an accurate assessment of all of your strengths and weaknesses from
the view of your students. The form will be sent to your students via email and returned to
us directly. Once we receive the forms, we will carefully review them and look for patterns
that indicate areas that need improvement as well as identifying strengths. Your students
will be able to provide accurate and detailed assessments resting in the knowledge that their
answers and comments are completely confidential.
Whether you are new to teaching or have been at it for 40 years, there will always be room
